Family Fun Halloween Event Returns to Mercantile West in Ladera Ranch

Events to include fun Halloween activities and Trick-or-Treating offering a wide variety of candy & non-candy items for the kids

Ladera Ranch families are invited for a fun and free Trick or Treating event in the Mercantile West shopping center in Ladera Ranch, where costumed little ones can trick or treat and enjoy other Halloween fun. Once again, in support of the Teal Pumpkin Project, the shopping center will be offering a wide-variety of both candy and non-candy items for the little trick or treaters. This allows children with specific food allergies to also participate in the fun.

At Mercantile West, located on the corner of Antonio Parkway and Crown Valley Parkway, costumed youngsters can Trick or Treat at participating stores on Friday, October 26, from 3 pm to 5 pm. There will also be a photo booth, a DJ to entertain families, a live band, costumed characters, a bounce house, face painters, balloon artists, special giveaways from the businesses and more!

Mercantile West is located 25612 Crown Valley Parkway, at Antonio Parkway, in Ladera Ranch. For more information, please visit www.ShopDineLaderaRanch.com.

The shopping center will be offering a wide variety of awesome candy including chocolate candy bars and other sweet treats, as well as a plethora of non-candy items including toys and fun knick-knacks for kids of all ages in support of the Teal Pumpkin Project.

Teal Pumpkin Project

The Teal Pumpkin Project®, which launched as an international campaign in 2014 by Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE), provides an alternative for kids with food allergies, as well as other children for whom candy is not an option, and keeps Halloween a fun, positive experience. Participating in the campaign is as simple as painting a pumpkin teal, buying inexpensive non-food treats such as glow sticks or small toys and placing the teal pumpkin on your doorstep to show non-food treats are available. FARE’s goal in 2017 is to have at least one home on every block in the U.S. with a teal pumpkin.
